Privacy notice
Legal review required
This is a draft prepared as a starting point. It is not legal advice and it has not been reviewed or approved by an attorney. Have a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction review it before relying on it or taking payment.
01Who is responsible
Riftvane Studios LLC (South Carolina, United States), trading as Riftvane Studios, is responsible for personal data described in this notice.
02What this website collects
Browsing this site does not require an account, and none is offered. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
Analytics are currently disabled. No usage measurement runs on this site.
As with any website, the hosting provider processes technical information — such as IP address, browser type and requested URL — in order to serve pages and to protect against abuse. That processing is the hosting provider’s, under its own terms.
03If you contact us
If you send a message through the contact form, we receive the name, email address, reason and message you provide, plus any server details you choose to add. That information is delivered to a mailbox and is not stored in a database by this website.
It is used to answer you and for nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list, and it is not sold or shared for marketing.
Please do not send passwords, database credentials or server keys. Nothing about support requires them.
04Purchases
Purchases are completed on a third-party store, not here. That store handles payment processing and collects whatever information it needs to do so, under its own privacy policy. We receive order information sufficient to verify a licence and provide support; we do not receive your full payment card details.
05Community platform
Support and community happen on a third-party chat platform. If you join it, that platform processes your data under its own policy. Joining is optional, and the software itself neither requires nor contacts it.
06How long anything is kept
Support correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful for supporting your licence and for resolving any dispute, and is deleted when it is no longer needed. Because this site stores nothing itself, retention is a question of the mailbox and the store rather than of this website.
07Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of them, use the contact page, and the request will be handled as quickly as one person reasonably can.
08Children
This site is not directed at children, and no information is knowingly collected from them.
09Changes
This notice may be updated. The date at the top records when this draft was last edited.
