End user licence agreement
Legal review required
This is a draft prepared as a starting point. It is not legal advice and it has not been reviewed or approved by an attorney. Have a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction review it before relying on it or taking payment.
01Parties
This agreement is between Riftvane Studios LLC (South Carolina, United States) as licensor, and the individual or entity purchasing a licence as licensee.
02What you are granted
A non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and run the software on servers you personally own and operate, for as long as you comply with this agreement.
One purchase licenses up to three servers you personally own and operate, so a development or staging server does not require a second purchase. Redistribution, resale and circumventing escrow are prohibited.
03What you may not do
You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lend or publish the software or any part of it. You may not share your licence key or your copy with anyone else, including other server operators.
You may not circumvent, remove or attempt to defeat the escrow protection applied to the distributed files, nor decompile or reverse engineer the protected portions, except where that restriction is prohibited by law that cannot be waived by agreement.
04What you may modify
Configuration files, the database schema, the item definition packs and the documentation are deliberately left readable so the product can be configured. You may edit those for your own use. Doing so does not transfer ownership, and support does not extend to problems caused by your modifications.
05Ownership
The software is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted remain with Riftvane Studios LLC.
06Alpha software
TrapNexus is released as alpha software. It is functional and has been tested, but it is early: defects should be expected, configuration and data formats may change between versions, and features described as planned are intentions rather than commitments.
Known limitations are published on the product page before purchase. You are encouraged to read them first.
07Support
Installation, configuration, and defects in the resource as delivered. Custom development, integration with third-party resources, and problems caused by your own modifications fall outside that scope.
Details of what support covers, and what it does not, are on the support page.
08Payment and refunds
Checkout and payment processing are handled by a third-party store, not by Riftvane Studios LLC directly. Refund requests follow that store’s terms together with the product refund policy published on this site.
09Warranty
The software is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow those exclusions, and where that is the case they do not apply to you.
10Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, total liability arising out of this agreement is limited to the amount you paid for the licence. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11Termination
This licence ends if you materially breach it — in particular by redistributing the software or defeating its escrow protection. On termination you must stop using the software and remove it from your servers.
12Independence
Riftvane Studios is an independent creator and is not approved, sponsored, or endorsed by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or Cfx.re. FiveM is a trademark of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.
13Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of South Carolina, United States, subject to any mandatory protections available where you live.
